As the Sun sets, the white painted houses of Chora reflect the last of the light. The 3 windmills can just be seen in the distance, as can the town and port at Skala.

The huge walls of the Monastery form the highest point of the Chora skyline.

This point is where you will be deposited if approaching the Monastery by Taxi or Coach, the rest of the journey to be completed on foot. Not much of a trek when you consider the thousands, who over the ages have made this journey on foot all the way from the harbour!
