Beautiful Sand & glorious Blue Sea at Psilli Ammos Bay - September 2003
Following my trip to Patmos 2003 you can now see 2 fantastic QuickTime VR views of the beach at Psili Ammos. These panoramas are 800k or more, launch in a new window and are worth the wait to download and view.

Psili Ammos is probably the islands most beautiful beach, it is certainly the trickiest to reach! A few Tamarisk trees line the beach, offering some shade, and there is a small Taverna offering tasty fare, cold drinks and beers. There is a small building housing toilets and showers. Nudism is not officially permitted anywhere on the Holy island of Patmos, but nature worshippers can often be found on this beach due to its inaccessibility. Access to the beach is either by daily boat from Skala, or you can take a moped ride to Diakofi (beach at the islands narrowest point - only 200M East to West at this point!) , then dismount for an invigorating 20 - 30 minute hike over the hills behind the beach.
